Graphic Organizers
- EverythingESL Organizers
This is a collection of organizers which can be printed. They are specifically highlighted on this ESL site for their use with students.
- Graphic Organizers from TeacherVision
This is acollection of printable graphic organizers. The organizers are in the following categories: All Subjects, Problem and Solution, Venn Diagrams, Concept Webs, and - Language Arts Organizers.
Education Place Graphic Organizers
This site contains a large collection of unique printable graphic organizers including an ice cream cone organizer and a sandwich organizer. There is an option to print the organizers in Spanish.
- Graphic Organizers for Inspiration
This site contains a collection of graphic organizers created in Inspiration. The organizers can be printed or downloaded to be used within Inspiration.
- Graphic Organizers
This site provides a chart with explanations of a variety of organizers and how to use them in the classroom. Examples of completed organizers are included; however, the site provides no printable organizers. It does provide some good examples of how to use them with the class. All organizers highlighted on this site were created in Inspiration and could be easily recreated using the program.
- SCORE Language Arts
This site contains a collection of graphic organizers with small images of the organizer for examples. It provides ideas for appropriate uses of organizers. The organizers are divided into Teacher Samples and Student Samples. Most of these organizers could be recreated using Inspiration or Kidspiration.
- Graphic Organizers from NCREL
This site highlights several organizers, providing a description of the organizer, ideas for its use, and a small image of the organizer.
- Kidspiration
This software program helps primary students organize and visualize their ideas for writing. It promotes understanding concepts in content areas such a reading, math, writing, science, and social studies. The program provides ideas and lesson activites for teachers to create their own lessons. The projects can be replayed with audio. It has the ability for students to do their own recording. Words "pop up" under the graphics. Writing projects can be exported into other types of software.

- ClipArt Connection
Provides a searchable collection of clipart images.
- ClipArt search from ClipArt.com
This is a rather extensive site that may be easy to get lost in. It does provide a search, however which would be a good place to start.
- Discovery School ClipArt Gallery
A collection of clipart images organized by category
- Library of Congress
American Memory is a collection of primary source materials relating to the history and culture of the United States.
- Pics4Learning
A collection of photographs which can be used for student or teacher projects. The images are arranged by category but can also be searched. The site also includes lesson ideas.
- Royalty-Free Clip Art Collection for Foreign/Second Language Instruction
This is a growing collection of simple line drawings to be used by foreign language instructors. Images are categorized in verbs, adjectives, nouns, and medical.
- SurWeb
This is a collection of images. The majority of the images are from Utah; however, other images are being added.
- The Amazing Picture Machine
A somewhat limited collection of pictures. However, it is searcable. It includes lesson ideas, searching tips, and copyright information.
- UVic's Language Teaching ClipArt Library
Images from this collection can be searched or viewed by category.
Rubric Creation
- Rubistar
A favorite of many teachers. Users can select from a collection of pre-created rubrics, which they can change if desired, or teachers can create their own.
- UEN's Rubric Tools
This tool is very similar to Rubistar. Users can select from a pre-created rubric, edit a rubric, or generate their own. To get to this tool, you must first log in to http://my.uen.org/myuen/MyUen and you will find the link at the bottom of your page - The Landmark Project
This site allows teachers to create rubrics from scratch. Teachers identify categories, descriptions of performance indicators, and designated points.
- Teach-nology.com
This site contains a large selection of created rubrics. The site allows teachers to name the rubric, include the teacher name, and insert an image onto the page. Rubrics are then printed out. The selections include subject specific rubrics, project rubrics, as well as management and behavioral rubrics.
- Really Fine Rubrics
This contains a brief explanation of rubrics and provides a few examples. (Example rubrics do not have differentiated categories.)

- Boggles World
A collection of worksheets, flashcards, and activity sheets that are designed for ESL instruction. Includes lesson plan ideas.
- Essentials
Tom Snyder provides this worksheet-generating tool! This is a subscribed resource, but teachers can use it free for 30 days.
- FlashCard Exchange
A site where you can print flashcards from other teachers or create your own. - Free Worksheets
This site contains a collection of free worksheets that vary in subject and classroom use. Worksheets are organized by subject area.
- Funbrain Quiz lab
Create your own online quiz at this site. - John's ESL Community
- PuzzleMaker
This site is a free site for teachers. It now offers a CD that can be purchased. However, teachers can still create word searches and other word puzzles by entering their own words.
- Quiz Center
Create your own online quizzes with this free online tool.
- Surweb
Surweb is a Utah-based resource that provides a variety of tools for teachers and students. One option is to create online quizzes from the sites Testing segment.
- Teaching is Easy
This site requires a reasonable subscription for one year's use. From this site teachers can create missing letter activities, bingo cards, fact cards, definition cards, etc. Try a demo.

- Worksheeet Generator
This site allows teachers to create worksheets focusing on language arts skills or math skills. Pre-created worksheets are also available.
